CEO Kids can be Affiliate Marketers
![]()

Affiliate marketing has been around forever. Earn sales commission on a product or a service a customer purchases from someone else. Read the bottom of the article on steps to get started but first here’s a great overview from Wikipedia.
“Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site.
The Affiliate Marketing industry has four core players at its heart: the Merchant (also known informally as ‘Retailer’ or ‘Brand’), the Network, the Publisher (also known informally as ‘the Affiliate’) and the Customer. The market has grown sufficiently in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including Affiliate Management Agencies, Super-Affiliates and Specialized Third Parties vendors.
Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.
Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. [1] While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile.”
Here is a quick intro of what you need to do to become an affiliate marketer:
1. Sign up to be an affiliate and get a link that is specific to you. You will usually find affiliate links at the very top or very bottom of a website and it will say: affiliates, partner, sponsor, or something like that.
2. Log in to the affiliate center for the company you are affiliating with.
3. Send it out your affiliate link via e-mail, blogs, websites, or social media.
4. Learn about online advertising (we’ll be talking more about that in later posts)
Here are some places where you can earn affiliate commission:
Amazon.com : 5% commission
Commissionjunction.com: 10-35%
Clickbank.com: 50-75%
RaisingCEOKids.com 25%-85%
Other sites: commission varies
It is important to remember that like with anything becoming an affiliate marketer takes time and also that thanks to the FTC you have to disclose to potential customers that you make a commission when they purchase from the affiliate link.
There’s a lot more to learn about Internet marketing so come back often to learn more!

Hello, it looks like your site is up and coming in the
Hi. I just noticed that your site looks like it has a few code errors at the very top of your website’s page. I’m not sure if everybody is getting this same bugginess when browsing your blog? I am employing a totally different browser than most people, referred to as Opera, so that is what might be causing it? I just wanted to make sure you know. Thanks for posting some great postings and I’ll try to return back with a completely different browser to check things out!
Thanks for commenting!
Have enjoyed your site very much and benefited from the information. Many thanks!
Great post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.
Nice website….may we add it to our make money blog for a review?
Nice to be visiting your blog again, it has been months for me. Well this article that i’ve been waited for so long. I need this article to complete my assignment in the college, and it has same topic with your article. Thanks, great share.

Well, to be honest. I would just say make sure you get the whole big picture before you do anything. Cause a lot of people fail in that area, they think they’re ready and just end up failing when they could have taken it slowly and easily.
So true Tina! It is important to look at the big picture!
I like that.

Is there some age limit to who can sign up for affiliate marketing with these companies?
Each company has their own age requirements. Sometimes it is 13 sometimes older and some don’t even ask. A great resource is http://www.clickbank.com. They have a ton of products that people can promote and I don’t believe there is an age requirement!
