Raising CEO Kids Weekend Review February 6 – February 11

Do you ever find yourself or your kids in a Funk in February? I have! Sarah Clacher wrote some great ways to bust through the funk this month in an article called Fight the Funk! It’s a 6 Step Plan for Getting Out of the Funk and Back into Business (or life for that matter). I think you will really enjoy it! So head on over HERE to read it!

Remember “Lunchables?

** Note from Sarah - I met Ben a few weeks ago, when we were both speaking at the Total Transformation Health Expo in Roseville. Having studied nutrition extensively in college and on my own over the last 8 years, I was really impressed with his knowledge of nutrition and fitness. Be sure to come back next week to see some of the great recommendations he has for lunch nutrition for kids! Yummy and healthy!

When I was growing up, “Lunchables” this seemed like about the coolest thing ever to find in a lunch box. Pre-made, convenient, healthy, and – as noted on the box – full of awesome stuff for kids, such as “An Excellent Source of Calcium”. Let me give you the INSIDE scoop on just how “healthy” these kid-loving boxes are! To read the rest of “Remember Lunchables”, click HERE!

Interview with Young Non-Profit Founder, Jen Rubino

Sarah: Please tell me, how you got started and where other kids starting a business and parents can find out more info about you.

Jen: Like any company, foundation or organization, Cards for Hospitalized Kids began with a simple idea—an idea of a non-profit that gives cards to hospitalized kids around the country. The difference between my idea turning into something and the ideas that never turn into anything is the fact that I made a plan of action, and though it was ambitious, I made it happen. We started out with people in Illinois making cards, but people around country now send cards in. It has been incredible. Other kids can learn more about us at www.cardsforhospitalizedkids.com, @Crds4HosptlKids on Twitter or Facebook.com/CardsForHospitalizedKids. To find out more about Jen and her cards, Click HERE!

Is There An End To Power Struggles With Children Over Food and Sleep?

How many times have you been in a power struggle with your child over food or sleep?

One big reason parents get trapped into these types of power struggles is because we think we “should” have the power to decide what, when and how much our child eats, and how, when and where our child should sleep. After all, we’ve been making those decisions since they were born. Click HERE to read more about your child with food and sleep!

Interview with Mom of Fitness Trainer: Hamid Castro

Sarah: When did you notice that your son was interested in making money and being a kid in business?

Mrs. Castro: He became interested in grade school. He was always looking for ways to make money for himself. He would take odd jobs, but always something entrepreneurial like a DJ. He made his set of first business cards for his entertainment business when he was 12. He was always an independent, take charge person. Find out more about Hamid Castro, Click HERE!
